Here you will find all the online information about the medicinal plants of the herb trail on the Planneralm.
The abundance of alpine plants on the mountains is a beautiful reward for attentive observation during the ascents along the hiking trails.
In all this plant life, there is not only beauty but often also health. All the useful and healthy aspects of nature can certainly never replace a doctor.
But preventing on our own responsibility and, above all, paying attention to the signals of our body in time is already a very good step towards helpful folk medicine.
On behalf of the Planneralm 3000 platform, I wish you much joy in rediscovering our nature!

For Frieda Pötsch!
The medicinal herb trail is dedicated to the memory of our dear Donnersbach herbalist Frieda Pötsch, who actively supported us in carrying out and completing this project with her extensive knowledge of local herbal medicine.
A heartfelt thank you also goes to our village doctor Dr. Albin Rünstler, who helped us with documents and advice in describing the individual herbs.
This project is not intended to encourage herb collecting on the Planneralm, as some plants are under nature protection. You can purchase all products in health food stores or pharmacies. No guarantee can be given for the respective applications. Legal liability is therefore excluded.

Notes on the Herbal Education Trail
The abundance of Alpine flowers on the mountains from June to early August is a beautiful reward for the climb along the herbal education trail. In all these plants lies not only beauty but often health benefits as well. All the useful and beneficial gifts from nature can certainly not replace a doctor.
But taking responsibility for prevention and, above all, paying attention to our body’s signals in time is a very good step toward effective folk medicine. On behalf of the Plattform Planneralm 3000, I wish you much joy in rediscovering our natural world!
